Catherine studied drawing at the National Art School, and oil painting at the Charlie Sheard Studio School. She has been exhibiting since 2005.

Catherine's painting practice is open and exploratory.
Working  between figurative and abstract compositions of still life, interiors and landscape Catherine has a passion for colour and form. 
"My painting process  begins with sketches and  detailed drawing.

I really like the physical action of putting paint onto canvas using either a brush, palette knife, or my hands. After time I move into flow where I abandon ideas, concepts  and plans and simply respond to what the painting needs. 

Her work is held in private collections in Australia, UK and France. 

Catherine has a BA Communications, Master Museum Studies,  Diploma Education and Graduate Diploma Psychotherapy.
